Tish Rabe ("Robby") is the bestselling author of over 200 books for Sesame Street, Disney, PBS Kids, Nickelodeon and many more.
Following the death of Dr. Seuss in 1991, she was selected by Random House to write "The Cat in the Hat's Learning Library" with over 11 million copies sold to date. Her book "There's No Place Like Space" has been on the Wall Street Journal Bestseller list every year since 2014.
In 2023, she was honored to be named the author of the Book for the Military Child 2025 by United Through Reading, a nonprofit which, since 1989, has video recorded service members on military assignments reading to their kids and sent every child the recording and a free copy of the book so that no one ever misses storytime. They distributed 88,000 books last year. Ms. Rabe's book "Sometimes Apart Always in my Heart-helping military families send love from far away" is set for release in April, 2025 during the Month of the Military Child.
Tish splits her time between Mystic, Connecticut and New York City and is a mom, step-mom and grandmother.
Beth is a dedicated Rotarian with a passion for service, membership, and literacy. A member of the Trumbull Rotary Club since 2014, she has held various leadership roles, including Past President, Membership Chair, and Interact Chair.
Inspired by Rotary’s “Service Above Self” motto and its commitment to making a difference, Beth launched the Kindness is Caring, Friendship is Sharing children’s book project in 2023. Partnering with renowned author Tish Rabe, this initiative aims to teach young readers the values of kindness and friendship while empowering future generations through education and storytelling.
When Beth is not working on a Rotary project, she enjoys bookkeeping for clients, taking long walks with her dog Ellie, or playing tennis and pickleball with friends.
